Our French classes are suitable for students, working professionals, travellers and learners with a personal interest in the language.

You may want to communicate during a visit to France, understand French media, speak with international colleagues or build a foundation for further study. Your purpose helps determine how far to progress and which skills need additional attention.

No previous French knowledge is needed for A1. If you have studied French before, discuss your speaking, listening, reading and writing abilities with our team before choosing a level.

For an introduction to learning from home, explore our online French classes.

French A1: Build Your Foundation

Begin with greetings, numbers, dates, family, food, daily routines and basic questions. Learn how French sounds work and practise forming short sentences.

For example, an early goal is to introduce yourself, say where you live and ask someone about their interests. Read our French A1 online classes guide for a closer look at beginner learning.

French A2 and B1: Develop Everyday Communication

A2 extends your ability to manage familiar situations. B1 develops more independent communication, including describing experiences, discussing plans and writing connected text.

These stages help you move beyond memorised phrases towards constructing your own responses.

French B2: Express Ideas in Greater Detail

B2 focuses on understanding more complex material, supporting opinions and participating in longer discussions. Learners should have a sound B1 foundation before progressing.

Explore our French B2 online course for more detailed learning objectives.

French C1 and C2: Refine Advanced Skills

Advanced French involves precision, appropriate tone, complex listening and reading, and well-organised expression. Contact our team to discuss your existing ability, learning objectives and trainer availability.

A French language course should help you use the language in situations relevant to your level.

  • Speaking: Build sentences, ask questions, practise pronunciation and develop longer responses.
  • Listening: Recognise familiar expressions, follow conversations and gradually work with more demanding audio.
  • Reading: Progress from notices and short messages to longer articles and complex texts.
  • Writing: Move from simple personal details and messages towards connected descriptions and structured arguments.
  • Grammar and vocabulary: Understand patterns and apply new words in meaningful contexts.

Between lessons, reinforce your learning through short revision sessions. Our guide on how to learn French offers ideas for building a study routine.

Live Interaction and Opportunities to Ask Questions

Live lessons allow you to clarify difficult topics and practise responding in French. This is particularly useful when you understand written examples but find spontaneous conversation challenging.

A Clear Progression Between Levels

Choose a starting point and work towards defined communication goals. Understanding what each level involves makes it easier to plan your next step.

Resources for Revision

Course materials and revision resources support study outside class. Confirm the books, recording access and other inclusions available with your chosen programme before enrolling.

Visibility Into Your Learning

The student portal provides access to attendance and covered topics, helping you keep track of lessons and identify material to revisit.

A Chance to Experience the Teaching

A free demo gives you an opportunity to see the class format and ask questions before deciding. You can also learn about our institute and its approach to language education.

Group classes suit learners who prefer a shared schedule and interaction with fellow students. Individual lessons may suit learners who need focused attention or have particular learning objectives.

Availability and scheduling vary by level. Read about learning with French tutors online before discussing the right format with our team.

Organisations can enquire about corporate language training for their teams.

Fees depend on the level, group or individual format, and selected course package. Ask for a written breakdown of teaching hours, materials, applicable taxes and other inclusions before enrolling.

Your calendar duration depends on the weekly timetable. Independent study is additional to scheduled lessons, and progress varies with your starting ability and consistency.
